It changes everything when you engage with God 24/7, in every circumstance and moment of life. Life is made up of a succession of moments and God is present in every moment and his glory changes of perception and demeanor.
Our anticipation of God in us and constantly in us, raises our expectation. If we anticipate God on the bus, then we start to expect him to talk to us. Nothing is mundane to God and what we call ‘supernatural’ is in fact natural.
Wherever we go God is with us, He is as much with us on the bus, in a crowded shopping centre, stuck a in traffic jam, when we are making dinner as when we are quiet and in a devotional time. How we hear God is not dependent upon God, its dependent upon how we listen. He is talking to us, we just need to listen to his voice.
God in you is not dependent upon your feeling. It really does help when we feel and experience the presence of God but ultimately God’s presence is not dependent upon our feeling, it is dependent upon his promise to us.
“God’s plan is to make known his secret to his people, this rich and glorious secret which he has for all peoples. And the secret is that Christ is in you, which means that you will share in the glory of God.” – Colossians 1:27 – It was always God’s intention and plan to engage with us, to have a relationship with us birthed in love and expressed in intimacy. God has never separated himself from us, He is a fountain of everlasting love and his heart is forever towards us.
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20
Your heart wants to be in the “Yes” place with God. His goodness, His kindness, His peace, His joy, and He will strengthen you. God always acts in the affirmative, never the negative. His promises are not NO, but they are YES. Everything God has promised to us has been completed in Christ and Christ is now complete in us. “And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” – Colossians 2:10.
Christ promised his disciples that the glory of God would come and live within them. That promise is for every child of God in Christ. The glory of God now lives in us. We are the hands, eyes, mouth, ears, heart, feet of Christ in this world. Christ lives and works through us. Christ in us enables us to be Christ to this world.
God is constantly re-affirming and declaring the finished work of Christ in our lives. He has given us the faith of Christ and He has given us every spiritual blessing in Christ. We are constantly being nourished by his promises and by the Holy Spirit working in us. We are never alone. We are never disconnected from God.
God has done everything well and everything possible for you to live a life of experience and knowledge with the power and authority of heaven working in you.
