Living Grace

Christ in me, the hope of glory

God’s two attributes are Grace and Mercy.

The two main attributes of God that run through the bible are Grace and Mercy. God is full of favour and goodness. Jesus has been judged at Calvary so that all who come to him in life will receive grace and mercy.

We come to a God who is overflowing in grace and mercy – We now live in the day of the Lord’s favour, the season of grace where the church is alive to show and represent the mercy of God.

A God of love who is eternally good – God’s nature is that He is love and he created us to dwell and be with him in intimate relationship.

What Heaven Will Be Like

We are to give the earth a taste of what heaven will be like – It is God’s overflowing delight that we should bring Heaven to Earth. The fruit of the Spirit is our inner garden of all the attributes of Heaven to be overflowing on earth- “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;” – Galatians 5 : 22-23 – From out of the overflow of our heart’s, Heaven comes to earth.

Our Inheritance

Therefore, there two things that are linked together – our inheritance to receive and be a blessing and the world’s need to see the goodness of God. – When we receive and live in our inheritance of the victory of the cross, when become a blessing that the world needs. Everything Christ has won, he won so that the Earth would declare the glory of God. It is through reconciliation that we show and declare God’s goodness.

Reconciliation

The world is bad, not because of the evil it contains, but because too few Christians really believe in the power of Gods goodness.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” – 2 Corinthians 5 : 18-19 – God through Christ reconciled the world back to himself. The act of the cross was an act of reconciliation. Mankind’s sin, inherited by everyone through Adam, was dealt with at the cross. God is no longer holding mankind’s sin against them. The world is fallen because we choose darkness instead of light. The church has the power of reconciliation but has chosen to focus on sin and not the Goodness of God. The church has spoken judgment over mankind and not reconciliation. Creation is desperate for the Sons of God to rise up and declare that God is good and His mercies endure forever.

A heart of expectancy

We position ourselves with an attitude of expectancy – It is with a heart of expectancy that we delight in him and come to him. God has promised never to withhold anything from us, we receive his fullness and we are complete in Christ.

Heaven is Fullness

God is eternally pouring out his grace to his children. The limitless God is limitless in his favour towards us. His grace can never run dry, it can never run out, it is limitless. Heaven is not a short measure, it is not half full, it is not half empty. Heaven is full of the glory and goodness of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is nothing half-measure about God, Heaven is not a double portion, it is the limitless God filling the universe with his glory.

Heaven is a place of blessings that never runs out

Heaven is a place of eternal blessings and glory. The grace of God flows from Heaven and permeates every child of God. We are adopted into Christ and therefore we have been given all the blessings of God in Christ.

We are called to inherit the blessing

We are not called merely to exist or get by. We were predestined in Christ, to inherit all the blessings of God through Christ’s death on the cross. God put us into the death of Christ before we were born, all we do is receive it. Everything Christ won at the cross is now ours by receiving our inheritance.

Everything falls to the goodness of God

God is eternally good, goodness flows from his heart, His mercies are never-ending. Nothing can stand before the goodness of God, his heart towards us is filled with his goodness.
